Samples of Work

Spring 2020  |  EDIT 9610  |  Conceptual Framwork

This is an initial draft of my research conceptual framework. It is also the course work for EDIT 9610 in Spring 2020. I was trying to conceptualize the process of reflection and using two strategies, debriefing and peer interaction, to support each of these processes. My research idea continued to evolve based on this initial draft, it gave me a very good start to explore my ideas.

I appreciate Dr. Stefaniak's support and guidance very much.  â€‹

2020 AECT Proposal

This is a research proposal I wrote based on my work in the SAVE4Children project, which provided me fertile ground to explore my research ideas on group reflection. Many thanks to the opportunity and advisement provided by the project PI, also as my advisor, Dr. Choi.

This proposal was accepted to be presented in the 2020 AECT roundtable session at the Research and Theory Division. I'm looking forward to getting some feedback at the time.

This is a project publication I have worked on since the research design. I participated in the data collection, data analysis, writing the manuscript, and revising the manuscript based on reviewers' feedback. It is great academic training, as well as a pleasure, to be part of this publication.

Publication based on Master's thesis

Yang, T., Luo, H., & Sun, D. (2020). Investigating the combined effects of group size and group composition in online discussion. Active Learning in Higher Education, 1-14.

This is a publication based on my Master's study and thesis. I worked with my previous advisor, Dr. Luo in Central China Normal University, who encouraged and supported me a lot during this process. This practice gave me a chance to revise my thesis into a publishable manuscript.
